Motherboard no reset signal repair steps

2018-01-02 16:00:00
BIOS chip contact is not good, the reset circuit is wrong, there may be a short circuit; South bridge clock crystal vibration can not vibration can no longer be located, sometimes touch the pin of the crystal vibration can be started; cpu no power supply, no clock output, etc., will cause this phenomenon (no reset)
Steps/methods
1

Check the clock chip's power supply of 3.3-2.5V, measuring the surrounding inductance or resistance greater than 0 ohms.

2

Measure whether the 14.318 crystal oscillator is working normally, and measure the two feet in reverse, and the voltage is 1.5-1.6V.

3

Power-ok Is there 5V voltage? If not, follow the circuit.

4

Measure whether the clock signal of the south bridge is normal, and the voltage of 330,220,110 next to it is 1.6V.

5

South bridge power supply should be normal, measure MOS,1117 has 3.3 or 5V power supply.

6

Measure 32.768 Whether the crystal oscillator is normal intel 0.5V VIA 1.5V

7

The voltage on the reset switch is 3.3V or 5V, if there is no voltage, check the line along the switch, generally leading to two gate circuits, or one foot leads to the gate circuit, the other foot leads to the gate circuit.

8

Detect gate voltage 3.3V-5V.

9

Measure PCI, AGB, IDE, I/O reset pin to ground whether there is a short circuit.

10

Check whether Vcore is normal.

11

Quantity ATX power supply 3.3V, 12V, 5V is normal.
