On September 17, 2021, the Shenzhou-12 capsule carrying three astronauts is about to return to the ground. Landed safely at the Bataan Desert landing site. Shenzhou-12 manned mission is the fourth mission in the key technology verification stage of the space station, and also the first manned mission in the space station stage. The mission has the following main objectives: In orbit, the key technologies for the construction and operation of the space station, such as astronauts' long-term stay, regeneration and maintenance, space supplies, extravehicular activities, extravehicular operations, and in-orbit maintenance, were verified, and the astronaut search and rescue capability of the landing site was tested for the first time. Rendezvous and docking: At 15:54 on June 17, 2021, according to the news of the China Manned Space Project, Shenzhou-12 manned spacecraft successfully completed the orbit status setting after entering orbit, and successfully docked at the forward port of the Tianzhou-2 core module using the independent fast rendezvous and docking mode, and formed a three-module (ship) assembly with the Tianzhou-2 cargo spacecraft that had been docked before. The rendezvous and docking process took about 6.5 hours. This is the first rendezvous and docking with a manned spacecraft after the Tianhe Core module was launched into orbit. According to the mission implementation plan, the three astronauts will then enter the Tianhe core module from the Shenzhou-12 manned spacecraft.
