A study visa is issued to students who have been admitted to an educational institution in Singapore and are enrolled in a full-time program. Visa requirements and procedures vary slightly depending on the type of educational institution (school/private school/polytechnic) the student is enrolled in.
If a child comes to Singapore on a companion visa, his/her mother/grandmother can apply for and legally reside in Singapore to take care of the child. A Singapore citizen/permanent resident is required as a guarantor. The pass is valid for 1 year and needs to be renewed annually. Although there is no specified age group for children to apply, it is a rule of thumb that children between the ages of 3 and 16 can apply. The tourist visa allows individual tourists to stay in Singapore for up to 14 days and is non-extendable.

The visitation visa allows the holder to stay in Singapore for up to 30 days and can be extended. Singapore citizens, permanent residents and EP holders are required as sponsors and invitees.
The business visa is provided to personnel who come to Singapore for business activities and can stay for a maximum of 14 days, which is subject to invitation and sponsorship by Singapore and cannot be extended.
Work Pass (WP) A work pass for low-level foreign employees aged between 18 and 58, with no minimum salary requirement, valid for up to 2 years and renewable. Employers will provide health insurance for their employees.
Advanced Work Pass (SP) A work pass provided to foreign intermediate skilled level employees with no age requirement, minimum salary requirement of S $2,400 / month, valid for up to 2 years and renewable. Applicants are required to have a bachelor's degree, or associate's degree, or a relevant technical certification, have 1 year of full-time study, and relevant work experience.
Employment Pass (EP) is a work pass for foreign professionals and is the highest level of work pass issued by the Ministry of Manpower in Singapore. Required to be engaged in management, administrative or professional work, from May 1, 2020 minimum salary of $3,900 / month (increases with age and experience), have a higher quality education.
EntrePass - An entrepass offered to a foreign entrepreneur or entrepreneur who will start and operate a new business in Singapore, with no minimum salary requirement. The first renewal of the new visa is valid for 1 year and the subsequent renewal will be valid for 2 years. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, have a certain business background or experience, and newly established companies must hold no less than 30% of the shares.
